Bargaining 2010

Today, members of the Communications, Energy, And Paperworkers Union Local 707 voted to reject an offer by Suncor Energy Oil Sands.

"Our members have signaled that the bargaining committee has missed something during this round of bargaining" says Roland Lefort, President of CEP Local 707. "At this point the union will need to reassemble the membership and explore a path forward. The Alberta Labour relations code is very explicit in the direction that needs to be taken once an offer has been rejected and we will be following that process" says Lefort.

The Unions intent continues to be achieving a fair agreement with Suncor Energy Oil Sands.
